ACT Prep Program

1) Our classes are small and organized by ability level, with differentiated instruction; 2) our program includes 3 hours of private tutoring; 3) our curriculum couples our own unique strategies with “best of breed” concepts from over 30 ACT Prep providers; 4) our classes are on weekends when students are refreshed and relaxed and not worried about homework, and 5) we genuinely care more about our student’s success because we’re your local learning center. Many of our students come to us for a variety of tutoring services and college counseling.

Meet Rachel (who scored 24 on her initial ACT practice test) and Tyler (29 on his test). Rachel is in a section of five students who scored between 23 and 26 on their initial ACT; Tyler’s group scores ranged from 28-31. A perfect score is 36. This grouping of students is EXTREMELY important because the strategies and focus areas for Rachel are NOT identical to the ones for Tyler. Although some strategies and topics overlap, the ones that don’t are typically the strategies and topics that will have the greatest impact on each student’s results!

Rachel and Tyler complete three practice tests, and we carefully analyze the results. More importantly, WE respond to the analysis to ensure that our curriculum is appropriately focused. Our teachers are told which areas need more or less emphasis after each assessment. Most companies give their students access to limited data and then expect the students to respond. Furthermore, many teachers don’t know how their students are doing, and in some instances, they don’t even know when their students have completed practice tests!

Our owner has read over 20 ACT test prep books and he has analyzed numerous assessments taken by local students. His research has led to a combination of “best of breed” strategies from across the country and our own unique strategies to beat the ACT. How do we know they’re unique? We have hired instructors who left other SAT and ACT Prep providers, and the instructors have been pleasantly surprised by some of our most effective strategies. Moreover, we still haven’t found several strategies in ANY of the test prep books.
