Overview
- Middle School Math features innovative math curriculum to help
middle school students develop stronger math skills. This program
accommodates students at any math level through Algebra.
- Each student starts with a comprehensive assessment and is then given
an individualized curriculum.
- We add a wide variety of educational
games to the mix to ensure that every student is having fun while significantly
improving his or her math skills.
- Middle School Math aligns with state standards and benchmarks and
is taught by experienced professionals.
- The program was co-developed by a local G.A.T.E. teacher and Avra
Davidson, a 25+ year teaching professional who continues to head the Middle School
Math program.
- Algebra students should consider combining Middle School Math with one of our Shadow Classes.
- Every student begins with a comprehensive assessment.
- He or she is then given an appropriate workbook and assignments.
- Our instructors work with students individually and in small groups as the students work on their assignments.
- We play group games that are educational and fun.
- Each day's lesson plan and results are recorded to ensure steady progress.
- Parents receive periodic progress reports.
