"The Write Start

Get your child off to the "The Write Start."
Using age appropriate literature, we teach young students how to use graphic organizers for reading comprehension
and writing.
 
The Write Start focuses on 2nd and 3rd grade writing
fundamentals, including plot and character development,
themes, settings, basic grammar, and vocabulary. The Write Start complies with California Standards and Benchmarks.
 

"Write On"

Danville: July 26 - Aug. 5
Aug. 9-19 (11-12:30)

"Write on" will help students become more effective communicators and writers. Students will work on a variety of activities including capturing ideas, organizing thoughts, finding their voice, and constructing sentences.
 
In addition to free writing, students will write argumentative and compare/contrast essays.

Danville - Aug. 9-19 (9:30 - 11)

How would you like to see your student write a strong five paragraph essay, without your help? "Write Right" students learn how to think more critically while they're reading so they have more material to work with when they have to write a paper.
 
Then, students learn how easy it is to organize the information they have gathered and turn it into a five paragraph essay. You'll be pleasantly surprised by your child's progress.

No more late nights writing an essay the day before it's due. "Excellent Essays" will teach your high school student how to write an essay without the last minute stress.
 
This two week class includes strategies for reading comprehension, critical thinking, brainstorming, structure, and editing.
